2024 ANNUAL MEETING OF THE TAINTER LAKE REHABILITATION DISTRICT
The lake district annual meeting is where the electors and property owners approve the next year’s projects, budget, tax levy and elect commissioners. This is a practice that is used in other forms of local government and is not unique to lake districts. Things you need to know before attending the meeting:
- Registration begins at 9:00a.m. (please plan to arrive prior to the start of the meeting and allow time for registration).
- Who can vote:
o All eligible electors residing in the lake district
o An owner of property within the district
o A person whose name appears as an owner of real property on the tax roll
o A person who owns title to real property even though the person’s name does not appear on the tax roll (i.e. a spouse)
o A person who is the official representative, officer or employee authorized to vote on behalf of a trust, foundation, corporation, association or other organization owning real property in the district. - Proof of eligibility will be verified at registration prior to the meeting. (i.e., WI Photo ID)
- Those persons not appearing on the tax roll but are owners of real property should bring a copy of the title or deed showing their names.

Slow No-Wake Ordinance & buoys maintenance
Carp removal and fish stocking
Aquatic vegetation harvesting - Review and consider approval of proposed budget
a. Establish a Non-Lapsable Fund
b. Proposed/Published budget - Consider approval of corresponding tax levy
